IBM Watson is a multi-talented cognitive computer, so multi-skilled it's even the kind to help you make dinner... yup. I know. For the first time ever IBM Watson went consumer facing (that's big!) with the beta launch of ChefWatson, the cooking app. IBM asked Ogilvy to help with the announcement, which they were making in collaboration with Bon Appétit. What's special about using Watson to cook is that it with it's supercomputer brain it can suggest food combinations you'd never think of.
To get people inspired and excited to try the app, I figured wacky cuisine called for some wacky inspiring imagery. With a color palette selected to tie well with the app, we commissioned the lovely Leta Sobierajski to create the set design. The imagery and animated GIFs ran across the IBM social media accounts.
